LIteracy intervention and dyslexia intervention are tailored to the strengths and needs of the student. Children who demonstrate early literacy difficulties may benefit from intensive phonological and phonemic awareness work using the Reading Readiness curriculum. A second grader who doesn't have a diagnosis of dyslexia but is demonstrating unexpected difficulty may benefit from work with Scientific Spelling. An adolescent who has been inconsistent in reading and spelling for years may benefit from the Multisensory Grammar and Spelling curriculum. A student diagnosed with dyslexia may benefit from the Basic Language Skills curriculum.
All of the curriculum is multisensory, systematic, direct, and explicit. However, the curriculum is tailored to the needs of each student through consistent, continuous prescriptive and diagnostic teaching.
Empowered Reading LLC provides the following Neuhaus curricula as needed by each student:
If your child warrants further occupational, physical, behavioral, or speech therapy, I am happy to collaborate with therapists of your choosing.
